Content Operations

My editor keeps missing the brand style and it takes endless revisions — is this normal or a bad hire?

Some revision is normal, but endless revisions usually point to a broken briefing and approval system before they prove the editor is a bad hire. Lock the style, decision-maker, script, references, and feedback process before judging the person.

Does anyone have content/marketing SOPs already built out to share — we're at $25k+/mo and drowning in task management?

Do not start by importing a giant SOP library. Map the recurring handoffs that are already breaking, then document the trigger, owner, inputs, steps, quality check, approval rule, and definition of done for each workflow.

I hand raw footage to an editor and the final never matches my voice/brand — how do I delegate without losing what makes it mine?

Delegating editing works when you transfer taste, not just footage. Give the editor a small style guide, reference videos, annotated examples, non-negotiables, audience context, and feedback that explains why a change matters.
